Climbing Plants
These plants want nothing more in life than to latch on with aerial roots and climb up a tree or, in your case, their own totem pole. For most of these plants, growing them up is the secret to achieving big mature leaves due to the hormones produced when the plant grows upwards. When it gets too large, either bend it back down to the soil then back up again for flexible plants or take a cutting from the tip section and replant it back into the soil.
